GUMS AND NATURAL EARTH PIGMENTS
Today’s consumers want products that meet their needs in a sustainable and natural way. For this reason, natural waxes and natural gums and earth pigments are becoming increasingly popular in many areas of industry.
Our gums and earth pigments are obtained from natural sources, with the least possible industrial intervention, and they offer excellent properties for application in various manufacturing fields.
Clays and their uses
Clays are natural materials formed of mineral grains, mainly hydrated aluminum silicates. When combined with water, clay usually obtains a viscous consistency.
Clay has many useful properties in industry, including its resistance to heat, its flexibility, its hardness, and the extremely small size of the particles it is made of (its granulation).
Clays have a wide range of uses. Our products include kaolin of the highest purity, green clay and brown clay, obtained manually from selected deposits and dried in the sun.
Gums and their uses
In ancient times, the term gum was used to refer to the oozing products of certain plants and trees. Nowadays, however, gums are known as a wide group of polysaccharides of high molecular weight, which act as thickeners and gelling agents, emulsifiers, and stabilizers.
The feature that makes gums most valued in industry is probably their ability to increase the viscosity of liquids and form gels or viscous mixtures. In the food industry, for example, guar gum, gum arabic and xanthan gum are used to improve the texture and appearance of countless products: dressings, sauces, juices, dried soups, frozen foods, baked goods, and many more.
We offer a wide range of gums. Although they all come from natural sources, their origins are diverse. Some are derived from vegetable sources, others are of animal origin, while others are obtained through the fermentation of microorganisms. To meet the needs of each application, we also offer different formats according to each particular: grains, powder and flakes.
