Raw Lanolin

Raw lanolin is a raw material obtained from the secretion of sheep sebaceous glands. Once the wool is extracted, it undergoes a cleaning and spinning process to separate and purify the wool grease.

Origin and production of raw lanolin

The process of obtaining raw lanolin begins with the shearing of sheep, which provides the basic raw material: wool. This is followed by a series of key stages:

1. Cleaning. The wool is subjected to a cleaning process to eliminate impurities, such as dirt and oils, that may be present.
2. Grease extraction. The wool undergoes spinning to extract the grease, which is lanolin in its raw form.
3. Purification. Following spinning, the substance is purified to remove any remaining impurities. 

The result of this process is clean raw lanolin that, without reaching the degree of purification of technical lanolin, is still a versatile and valuable resource that is used in various industries.
