High-quality paraffin with a low-medium melting point, completely hydrogenated, with an oil content of over 1.5% and white in colour.
Suitable for Food, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic and Industrial applications.
Paraffin is a versatile and useful material thanks to its humidity resistance, the ease with which it can be molded and, in some cases, its lack of toxicity, among other properties. However, in order to achieve the desired outcome, it is essential to choose the right paraffin for our purpose.
Refined paraffin 52-55 °C P-130 is a high quality paraffin wax with a low-medium melting point, fully hydrogenated, with an oil content of more than 1.5% and white in color. Its most common uses and applications are detailed below.
The main characteristic of this paraffin is that its excellent quality and maximum purity make it suitable for application in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. The use of paraffin waxes in these areas improves the smoothness, hardness, gloss and softening point of products.
It is often used in the manufacture of wax paper for foodstuffs and in the production of medicinal ointments and salves as a carrier for active substances. It is also used in the manufacture of cosmetic skin creams, lipsticks and lip balms, eyelash masks, make-up and hair care products, among others.
Although it can be used in candle making and its elasticity makes it suitable for making candles in containers or carved candles, there are more popular paraffin options for this purpose, such as refined paraffin 52-54 °C or refined paraffin 56-58°C.
