Description: CM Yellow Beeswax Block
Top quality beeswax
Beeswax is produced by young honey bees, which secrete it in liquid form through their glands. Upon contact with air, the wax hardens and forms small wax flakes on the underside of the bee. This wax is pure and white, and it is the presence of pollen that gives it its characteristic yellow color.
To obtain the wax, it is necessary to melt the opercula –the layers of wax with which the bees cover the honey.
Beeswax’s value depends on its purity and color.
Properties and uses of beeswax
Beeswax is a natural wax highly prized for its moisturizing, emollient and softening properties. It has a powerful moisturizing action, as it is highly compatible with the skin, and is extremely protective. It is also highly effective as an emulsifier and is used to give consistency to cosmetics in homemade preparations.
Its chemical composition also makes beeswax antibiotic, healing and anti-inflammatory, which is why it is also used as an emulsifier in the pharmaceutical industry.
Finally, beeswax is highly regarded in the manufacture of 100% natural candles, which have a pleasant fragrance and characteristic yellow color.
Our pure beeswax block is suitable for food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical use. It is a pure yellow beeswax, unadulterated, free of pesticides and with a characteristic odor. Competitively priced and manufactured in Cameroon, it is suitable for all types of applications.
Pure yellow beeswax is also available in pellet form, which facilitates the melting process, if required.
For other uses, it may be advisable to opt for yellow beeswax blocks mixed with a small percentage of paraffin, which is less expensive but of excellent quality.
