Candle production goes back a long way: as far back as the Roman era and China’s Qin Dynasty (221-206 a. C.). For centuries, candles were the main lighting source in homes after sundown.

However, with the advent of kerosene lamps and incandescent bulbs, candles lost their practical value and began to be appreciated as decorative items. From the 20th century onwards, slowly, shapes, perfumes and colors began to enter the universe of candle making, and by the end of the century they were all the rage.

Colored candles

Nowadays, we can’t imagine candle-making without thinking about the colorants that bring them to life. Whether they’re in pastel shades, vibrant colors or even fluorescent tones, candle dyes have become an essential addition in the industry and are a key ingredient in the creation of attractive and eye-catching candles.

Ceras Martí candle dyes

Our candle dyes have high coloring power in low quantities. They are soluble in Paraffin, Soy Wax, Stearic Acid and Gelatin, so they can be used to manufacture all types of candles: from classic paraffin candles made in molds or by extrusion, to gelatin candles in transparent glasses.

One of the great challenges when using dyes is to achieve the perfect color without wasting material. That’s why, here at Ceras Martí we work with two formats: pellets and flakes, which deliver the perfect quantity. At the same time, our dyes are very easy to dissolve, preventing the formation of lumps that can spoil the result.

What’s more, our packaging is specially designed to prolong the shelf life of the product and guarantee its perfect preservation.

We have 12 maximum intensity colors, including one fluorescent color, perfect for making eye-catching candles in all shades of the rainbow.
