The power of color
The making of candles dates back a long time. As far back as the time of the Romans and the Qin Dynasty in China (221-206 BC). For centuries, candles were the main means of illumination in homes after sunset. However, with the advent of kerosene lamps and incandescent bulbs, candles lost their practical value and began to be appreciated as a decorative object. From the 20th century onwards, shapes, scents, and colors slowly began to enter the world of candle making, and by the end of that century, they had become all the rage.
Nowadays, we cannot imagine candle making without thinking of dyes that give them life. Whether in pastel shades, vibrant colors, or even neon notes, candle dyes have become an essential input in the industry and contribute a key ingredient in the creation of attractive and eye-catching candles.
Our candle dyes have a great coloring power with a low dosage. They are soluble in Paraffins, Soy Wax, Stearic Acid, and Gelatin, so they are suitable for making all types of candles: from classic paraffin candles made in molds or by extrusion, to gelatin candles in clear cups.
One of the big challenges when using dyes is achieving the perfect color without wasting material. That’s why at Ceras Martí we work with two presentations: pearls and flakes, which favor the just dosage. Our dyes are also very easy to dissolve, preventing clumps that could spoil the final result.
Furthermore, our packaging is specially designed to prolong the product’s shelf life and ensure its perfect preservation.
We offer 12 colors of maximum intensity, including one neon, perfect for creating eye-catching candles in all the colors of the rainbow.
